Training for care home managers and senior staff on Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and the proposed Liberty Protection Safeguards.

Preparation for Court of Protection – this course is for managers and senior staff with responsibilities for care planning and managing and recording behavioural issues. By exploring anonymised cases that have been to the Court of Protection you will learn what must be recorded and how to ensure that management of behavioural issues conforms to effective care planning.

This course is designed for carers who want to improve their record keeping skills. By using case studies we will help you to develop the confidence to know what to record and what not to, and how to do this as clearly and briefly as possible.

Delivered by trainers with over 15 years’ experience working in open access drug and alcohol services. This training will provide you with an essential understanding of the substances that are currently being used, their effects, potential harms, local treatment options and national online resources to support you in working with people who use substances. This training is designed for professionals and volunteers who have contact with people who use substances, in order to signpost them into treatment services.

This training is designed for front-line professionals who have regular contact with intravenous substance users. You will learn how to help reduce the harms and risks that can occur from poor injecting practice. This course will include practical use of the range of injecting paraphernalia, as well as the effects and risks of the range of substances currently being injected: from heroin to steroids.
